The Orbiters

A few weeks ago, some very exciting things began happening in a suburb of Monterey, California. A duo called The Orbiters, a reference to a Cold War era record, began playing music together. Taking inspiration from blues, rock and roll and 50s and 60s pop, the pair of talented young musicians has created an infectious first track. Titled “My Blues,” its feel is anything but sad. It’s the sort of song that reminds one of summertime and pretty days and it’s hard to keep from grooving around while listening to it. With this track, the Orbiters have managed to tap into that inexplicably yet universally loveable sound classic to 50s and 60s pop—and there is much more where it came from. The duo is continuing to work on new, exciting songs promised to be even better than the first. I doubt they will disappoint. So, show a new group some support. Listen to “My Blues” on SoundCloud and like The Orbiters on Facebook. They love it.
