Oyster by Nothankyou

A new music project from a member or two of Dirty Projectors, Nothankyou brings that vintage, but futuristic sound that we crave. Upon first listen I thought I could hear St. Vincent singing, I could feel my inner fangirl swelling inside. The song itself is intricate down to instrument choice. Tom Vek never dissapoints. Prepare to get addicted.

Think Less, Feel More

I feel like I am on the beach with a lover. Warm summer rays wrapping around us and a sense of carelessness on the mind when I listen to Moon Pollen’s most recent album release, “Think Less, Feel More.” The title says it all.

Moon Pollen is a four member electronic chillwave band out of Argentina and lucky for you, this album was dropped just this month. The album is definitely a play on their style with those warm beats, lovely chord progressions and nods to new wave.

Basically, if you can dig yourself some Jenocide, Rush Midnight, Class Actress and Washed Out, definitely give these cats a listen. “You Don’t Want To See Me,” and “Shine” are worth a listen. There’s a groovy bass line in “You Don’t Want To See Me,” that has got me dancing around my room and the main singer’s beautiful voice gives me butterflies.

Here’s to you Moon Pollen. My newest obsession.
